FOOD/CANDY RECALL
Halloween Candy News: The chocolate coin recall of 2008
Remember those cool chocolate candy coins wrapped in gold foil? If your kids have any in their trick-or-treat bags this year, don't let them indulge.
There's a recall on the Sherwood's brand Pirate's Gold milk chocolate coins imported from China. The candy had tested positive for the chemical melamine which was already implicated in the deaths of four children (and sickened tens of thousands more.) It looks like the candy was sold primarily in Canada but could've made its way to dollar stores and other bulk stores, so take a look before the kiddies dive into their stash.
