OPERATIONAWARENESS RESPONSE TO OCTOBER 15TH DEADLINE

Throughout history, rare individuals have stood up in the face of adversity, risking life and limb for causes they believed in.

They saw a wrong – an injustice so intolerable that they could no longer sit back and do nothing about it. All involved serious violations of even the most basic natural and human rights. These people stood up not only for themselves but for the betterment of all mankind.

Some were jailed and some were killed, all were persecuted by those that held opposing views.

I have often wondered what this country would be like if not for the Rosa Parks’, the Martin Luther Kings’, and the Abraham Lincolns’. These people are my heros. They felt  deep within their very souls that their causes were just.

While I honor and respect opposing views, I am saddened that here in the 21^st century, my America still resorts to the same intolerance, ignorance, and prejudices of times past. Technology wise we have made such great strides, yet spiritually, we remain stagnant.

I have been given a deadline of October 15, 2007 to remove my entire web presence, including this site, operationawareness.com. The deadline came with multiple threats and intimidating statements.

I view these individuals as radicals and terrorists and have told them so. I do not negotiate with terrorists. They bring nothing to the table other than threats and demands. I will not relinquish my right to my beliefs.

I take these threats very seriously. Their tactics have placed my entire family in grave danger and I am fearful for what they may do or incite others to do.

I have carefully documented all of the lies, threats, and harassment against me. I have informed the local police, the FBI, the Arizona Attorney General, two private attorneys, and have given the documentation to multiple third parties.

Should anything happen to me, my family, or my property these records will serve as evidence of attacks that could have and should have been prevented. The documents will also point to an individual working for a state agency that is actively involved in what is and what has happened to me.

I don’t wish to become a martyr for this cause. I don’t wish for my children to be motherless or for my husband to be widowed yet I cannot simply walk away from something I feel so strongly about, in addition to that, the damage they have created has already been done.

My beliefs (not what they say my beliefs are) are all here. They are chronicled within the pages of this site. I am against ALL forms of abuse whether physical, sexual, or abuse of power by those in authority.

I stand for the human rights of all living beings – those that have been offended against as well as those that somewhere in their past have offended against another. I myself was victimized as a child for many years, but I forgave my abusers. I don’t think that would have been possible without them acknowledging what they had done and their sincere apology.  There is nothing more empowering than forgiving someone that has wronged you. I also know that people do make mistakes and that many can and do change if they choose to, and that they do regret their wrongs deeply.

I realize more than anyone that there are some very sick and dangerous people out there. Many are listed on the sex offender registry-but the registry doesn’t differentiate, it’s all inclusive.

The registry’s effects although quite different from it’s stated intent (but by no means less real) creates stigma. This stigma makes successful re entry impossible for those that have served their sentence and are released back into the community. While some people may think that’s a good thing or that they deserve it the problem is that this results only in more crime, more hate, and more intolerance. These effects are also transferred to family members via “guilt by association” and often involves children as well.

I am a Christian first and foremost. I believe in forgiveness and I believe that there are much better ways of dealing with these issues other than what is currently occurring.

It is for these reasons, that I will remain as a voice for those who cannot speak or are too afraid to speak.

I am always open to rational dialogue with those that may oppose my views as long as it does not include threats of violence and/or harassment. I welcome and invite anyone to contact me personally. The door is open.

May the Lord be with us all. May he touch the hearts of all who read this and protect my family from those who seek to do harm.

UPDATE: For anyone that has been following this and especially for all the "Petra Luna" fans out there. Check out her blog which talks about frontal lobes and the human brain not fully developing until the age of 25 and what that means. Yet here she is viciously attacking me, even declaring war on me. Quite a quandry for her and her followers now isn't it? 

At least this time she has her facts correct as this was a genuine study that has real merit.
