This was really one of the biggest scandals in recent US history. The story received some newspaper coverage but there was a TV News Media blackout on the subject. For this reason, most Americans have never heard of it.
"Political first aid" rule number one: If you suffer a deep wound, apply constant pressure until the bleeding stops.
Former republican Senator John De Camp was involved in the production a documentary called "Conspiracy of Silence" that was to air May 3, 1994 on the Discovery Channel.
This documentary exposed a network of religious leaders and Washington politicians who flew children to Washington D.C. for sex orgies. At the last minute before airing, unknown congressmen threatened the TV Cable industry with restrictive legislation if this documentary was aired.
Almost immediately, the rights to the documentary were purchased by "unknown persons" who had ordered all copies destroyed. Reported at least $500,000 was paid for the rights to buy and destroy it. A copy of this videotape was furnished anonymously to former Nebraska state senator and attorney John De Camp who made it available to retired F.B.I. chief, Ted L. Gunderson. While the video quality is not top grade, this tape is a blockbuster in what is revealed by the participants involved.
While there are some who claim the whole thing was a hoax, I am unconvinced after careful research and watching the documentary in it's entirety.

* Paul A. Bonacci, one of the victims featured in this film, won a default judgment of $800,000 compensatory damages and $200,000 in punitive damages in a civil action against Senator Lawrence King in which the petition alleged kidnapping, mind control, satanic ritual abuse, and sexual abuse, and alleged various personal injuries, both physical and psychological. The decision was never appealed.
**Investigator Gary Caridori was killed the night before he was supposed to testify. Officially it is "unknown" how he died. But he was flying back from Chicago in his private plane and the plane blew up and fell apart. He was a meticulous, careful pilot. He and his little boy were killed. Officially, it's still undetermined. there are almost 20 mysterious deaths linked to this story.
