3-06-07...AND LIBERTY AND JUSTICE WILL FALL

Police reporting false confessions, interrogating juvenilles without their parents consent or even their knowledge. Overzealous and underzealous prosecutors and judges. Hiding, losing, and witholding evidence, especially evidence that would exhonnerate the accused. A Corrupt Sheriff's department. A thriving prison industry with private contracts. Polygraphers and psychologists contracting with the state that must follow whatever treatment the state wants, not neccesarily what's best for the offender and/or the community. Legislators doing the bidding of the corporations and lobbyists instead of representing "We the People", even when "We the people stand up and speak out. Any legislator who dares go against the "System" and threaten these lucrative businesses is certain to be dealt a lethal blow. All this is topped off with a Supreme Court that has absolutely no balls or no will to stop it. Democracy is dead, if it ever really was alive.

This is the growing rotten stench. I see it here in Arizona firsthand, and it is spreading. Our entire country has become infected. Fueled by power and greed. It is thrust upon an unwitting public who are fed a steady diet of fear and lies by a media that is owned by the very corporations which stand to gain the most from selling us all down river. The media is guarding the flock only the media is a member of the pack of wolves which cares only for it's own insatiable hunger.

Spread a little fear and propaganda and tell us that we must give up certain rights and freedoms, you know, just the little one's like the right to be free from illegal and frivolous searches and seizures, the right to privacy, and those other pesky constitutional thingies which politicians like to call "Loopholes".  Of course, these loopholes are our rights, God given and constitutionally mandated. When we destroy the rights of accused criminals, and other percieved enemies, we unwittingly destroy those rights and protections for ourselves as well. Pray you'll never be needing them. Pray you'll never be accused. Above all, pray it is never your child that gets accused. Make no mistake, in the words of Gerry Spence "We are all on the same conveyor belt headed for the same slaughterhouse, and at last when you reach the man with the hammer (the judge) you will then discover there is no way off the belt.

Here's how it's being done, slowly and calculated, right under our noses:

Propaganda is a mighty weapon in war. In the case of Registered Sex Offenders or Terrorists (for example) it's aim is to dehumanize the "enemy" and to create a hatred against a special group. The technique is to create a false image in the mind. This is done by using special words, special avoidance of words, and by saying that "they" as a group (not individuals) are responsible for things they never did. The aim is to create hate and fear so that the ultimate goals of Corporate America continue to be met.

Collective Punishment example 1:  What happened after 911 is a very interesting example. A man, Osama Bin Laden, from Saudi Arabia, orders 19  of his pals to hijack airplanes and fly them into buildings in the U.S. Suddenly we are told there is an "axis of evil". Bands of lawless neanderthals who simply want to kill all Americans. Because??????  The next thing we know we're hanging Sadam Hussein and fighting an all out simultaneous war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Because??????? Well, the propaganda worked. We hate "them" and nothing, not even the conditions at Guantanamo Bay and Abu Grahb are rotten enough for the likes of "them".  Just to ensure our complacency, we hung Saddam Hussein because the bastard had it coming anyway.

Collective Punishment - example 2:  John Couey a registered sex offender allegedly rapes and murders a 9 year old girl. An un-named and unknown "mystery man" brutally murders and decapitates a little boy named Adam Walsh. To this day no one has been charged with the crime. Two individuals, two brutal crimes. The response? Jessica's Law and the Adam Walsh Act. These laws are the ultimate form of Collective Punishment. Which is exactly what these laws all do. Collective punishment is when you hold an entire group of individuals responsible for the act of another. This is specifically forbidden by the Geneva Convention Rules against Torture. No matter though. Why? Because, again the propaganda has been successfully administered to the public. "They" are all dangerous. "They" can't be cured. "They" have the highest recidivism rates of all criminals. ALL of these are lies.

Not only have they lied to the public and instilled such deep fear, they have duped the American public out of anything that does anything to protect children or prevent such horrific crimes from happening. These laws are creating an abundance of wealth for corporate America and the thriving prison industry. No matter that the crimes of 99.9999% of the people on the registry had absolutely nothing to do with the death of Adam Walsh or Jessica Lunsford. No matter that their crimes didn't even remotely resemble those for which the laws are named. No matter. Nothing is too rotten and horrible for those damned Sex Offenders. They are lucky we even let them breathe the same air as us. This group has been so effectively propaganized that I often hear politicians openly say that "they" have NO rights. With the residency restrictions, registration requirements, and litany of laws applied retroactively and collectively, it's hard to argue. The only question is: Who's next?
